What We Collect

When you use BrandDetect.ai, we collect:

  • Business information: Brand name, industry, and location that you enter for your scan
  • Email address: When you unlock your full report or create an account
  • Scan results: The responses we receive from AI platforms when scanning on your behalf
  • Payment information: For Pro subscribers, payment details are collected and processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • Account credentials: Email and password (hashed) for Pro account holders

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Run AI visibility scans and generate your report
  • Send you your full report via email when requested
  • Send weekly scan results and score change alerts to Pro subscribers
  • Process subscription payments through Stripe
  • Improve the accuracy and quality of our scanning service

What We Don't Do

We will never:

  • Sell your data to anyone
  • Share your information with advertisers
  • Use your brand information for any purpose other than providing your scan
  • Send you marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in
  • Share your scan results with your competitors or any third party

Cookies

We use minimal cookies — only what's necessary for authentication session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. If you have a Pro account, a session cookie keeps you logged in.

Data Retention

Scan results are stored indefinitely so you can access your history and track trends over time. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data (email, account credentials) and can delete your scan history upon request.

Email addresses collected for free report unlocks are retained for communication purposes. You can request removal at any time.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate BrandDetect.ai:

  • Supabase — Database and authentication. Stores your account data and scan results.
  • Stripe — Payment processing. Handles all billing for Pro subscriptions. We never store your card details.
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery. Sends your scan reports and alerts.
  • AI Platforms (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, Perplexity, DataForSEO) — We send queries about your industry and location to these platforms to generate your visibility report. We do not send your personal data (email, payment info) to these services.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Export your scan history
  • Cancel your Pro subscription at any time
  • Opt out of all non-essential communications

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
